To illustrate the sound of a typewriter, I drew a pulsating sprinkler spouting water in an abstract pattern formation which sounds like typewriter keys. The return key of the typewriter is the solid gray line that brings you back to the beginning of the page, or back to where the sprinkler starts shooting water.
